Google Announces Experimental Fiber Networks

What’s possible when you have a 1 Gbps Internet connection? Google wants to find out.

They announced today that Google will build trial fiber-optic networks in a few communities across America, providing 1 Gbps Internet connections to between 50,000 and 500,000 people.
