Many organizations use IP phones for internal calls, but rely on legacy T1 and PRI connections for connecting to the public switched telephone network (PSTN). Yet, many businesses would like to put their phone calls on their data networks for the long-term savings. Unified Communications has not yet caught on, but SIP Trunking may be starting to take off.
